These are all fully ruggedized, military grade laptops. They are most often used by law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS. Other uses include anyone that works “in the field” such as emergency service workers, emergency communication operators and remote radio operators. That's why Panasonic built a laptop that can handle just about anything you throw at it.

Toughbook computers are manufactured to endure 3 foot drops and to withstand violent shocks and vibrations. They are fabricated to operate at temperatures over 140° and below -20° Fahrenheit and function both at high altitude and under increased atmospheric pressure. Backlit keyboard CF-28. These will work great as a replacement keyboard on CF-27, CF-28 and CF29s. The backlit will not work, all else works GREAT. Used - Great shape - $55 Location (006/00/1800)	Used but in great shape. Backlit keyboard that fits the CF-28 - read on to make sure it will work for you. Black with gray letters/numbers. Excellent Condition CF 28 Panasonic Toughbook Keyboard. These are NOT the rubber keyboards they are sealed backlit chicklit keyboards and are rare, the Keys illuminate GREEN. Units are great for night viewing and easy to type on. The units are Backlit and are 3 ribbon cable units units so your CF 28 must be compatible for 3 Ribbon Cable. Units have been fully tested and cleaned and we will not be accepting any returns especially due to compatibility issues or install issues. These require a special high voltage circuit to work. All CF-28 800MHz and 1GHz (P & S) models have 3 keyboard connectors but the 3rd connector won't power-up the emissive keyboard without the add-on Texas shaped circuit.
